Join OPHA

OPHA is made up of Pacific health professionals who are passionate about strengthening our workforce and in turn promote and maintain the health of our Pacific people in the Oceania region.

A Pacific person is one that is of Pacific descent and self identifies as a Pacific person. People of Pacific descent are those who are from any of the islands in Polynesia, Melanesia and Micronesia.

Health professionals includes doctors, nurses, pharmacists, allied health workers, dentists, health researchers, community health workers and respective students.

Members will be able to:

  • connect with other Pacific health professionals within your state and nationally

  • mentor and inspire young Pacific Islanders to become a health professionals

  • have an opportunity to impact Pacific health matters in your state, nationally and the Oceania region

  • be involved in various OPHA activities such as research and advocacy

  • be part of a united voice on Pacific health matters as Pacific health workers

Types of membership available are:

  • Professional ($A50/yr) - annual fees will be collected at the start of each financial year

  • Full time tertiary student (No charge) - evidence of enrolment will be sought from applicants after their candidacy has been reviewed by the board.
