A new Medical Centre - OceansPlus Medical Centre has opened in Berrinba!

Congratulations to Dr Kuinileti Chang Wai and her fantastic team who recently opened Queensland's first Pasifika owned, Pasifika driven and Pasifika staffed medical clinic - the OceansPlus Medical Centre!

Offering physical and psychological treatment, together with pathology and other specialist services, health practitioners that speak languages of the Pacific, the centre provides a culturally safe space for our growing Māori and Pasifika community in South East Queensland (SEQ).

At its Grand Opening, Tagaloa Dr. Glenda Stanley led the celebration as MC with grace and insight.

She shared how the Centre will fill crucial gaps in the health care system—offering a space where patients, especially from diverse Māori and Pasifika backgrounds, can receive holistic care in languages they understand.

Dr. Stanley emphasized that OceansPlus is more than a clinic—it’s a culturally grounded, community-focused haven where everyone is seen, heard, and cared for.
